Right around the corner is 2014: a new year full of new possibilities, new people, and new year's resolutions. 2014 will see me in a new place, living on my own for the first time. It'll be the year I can vote, the year I start university, and the year of all the things that, looking forward from the close of 2013, I cannot even begin to imagine.
I mentioned new year's resolutions, and this is one of mine: to read 50 books in these upcoming 365 days. It's not that big a deal; I read 56 in ninth grade, and I didn't even have it in my mind to do so. But life gets busy; in 2013 I only read 34, and I know that I can do better.
